Multi-Chamber Vacuum Furnaces

Engineered for superior performance, Fulcrum multi-chamber vacuum furnaces offer more versatile heat treatment process management and efficient energy optimization.

Two-Chamber Vacuum Furnaces

The F2 2-chamber vacuum furnace features an integrated oil quenching system that ensures optimized heat treatments: the load is heated under vacuum and then automatically transferred into the pre-evacuated quenching module, where it is rapidly cooled.

The two chambers are separated by an isolation door: the hot chamber is in vacuum or protective atmosphere and ensures uniform temperature distribution; the cold chamber, which can be pressurized up to 1.9 bar in protective gas and is equipped with a specially designed oil removal device, ensures that no quenching oil is backfilled into the heating chamber.

Additionally, the cooling chamber can be provided with the Fulcrum LPC (Low Pressure Carburizing) system, allowing for surface hardening applications.

Three-Chamber Oil-Quench Vacuum Furnaces

The F3-O vacuum furnace, suitable for heat treatments requiring high precision in both temperature control and process repeatability, has three chambers separated by two vertically installed gate valves.

The transfer system's bi-directional telescopic mechanism allows the workpiece to move seamlessly between the heating and quenching zones. Supported by both oil and pressurized shielding gas (up to 1.9 bar as an option), the quenching module can be combined with the Fulcrum Low Pressure Carburizing (LPC) system, thus extending its heat treatment capacity.

The 3-chamber solution and its segregated chamber design with pre-evacuated transfer system minimizes exposure to contaminants, enhancing material integrity.

Three-Chamber Gas-Quench Vacuum Furnaces

The F3-G vacuum furnace is engineered for heat treatments that require high precision not only in the heating and quenching process, but also in the transfer process.

Control over the process environment is ensured by a telescopic charge displacement system, which moves the treated pieces from the thermal chamber to a cooling chamber pressurized with a protective gas up to 20 bar abs. The cooling zone can be provided with the Fulcrum LPC (Low Pressure Carburizing) system.

By keeping the heating and quenching processes separate, the F3-G furnace ensures stable temperature control, uniform thermal treatment and, thanks to its segregated chamber system, this furnace ensures consistent metallurgical results for demanding industrial applications.
